1. What is power washing?
Power Washing is a high-powered cleaning technique that is sometimes used with mild cleaning agents. These are the basic steps that show how our equipment works:
- A gas or electric motor produces pressure that is combined with a constant water source.
- Together they create a powerful stream of water that can be increased or decreased in pressure.
- This pressurized water is then used to spray on a variety of surfaces and materials to strip them of dirt and grime from past years.
2. What should I know about cleaning my home?
When cleaning your home’s exterior, we blend a specific solution of cleaning chemicals and detergents. High pressure is not used. When we do house washing, we apply the solution and rinse away with low pressure. This is the most effective and safe way to clean any surface. Some people refer to this method as soft washing. With this method no damage is done to your windows, grout, paint or caulk. In fact if you clean your house once a year like this, you will likely get that 20 year paint to last 20 years.
3. What should I know about driveway and sidewalk cleaning?
We can clean a normal size driveway in about 30-45 minutes. We use commercial equipment that a typical homeowner doesn’t have. Driveways are so easy to clean that we actually do standard size driveways (up to 4 cars) for free when you get a house wash if you mention the phrase ‘current special’. That way everything is clean when we leave. People are often surprised after a professional driveway pressure washing. It is a more uniform and even cleaning than stroking it with a wand. And you won’t see stroke marks on it when the mildew does grow back.
4. What should I know about pool deck cleaning?
One of the items we clean most is pool decks. Whether it is cool decking or pavers, we make it shine. Take a look at some of the before and after pics. It’s good to clean a pool deck at least once a year, especially if it is cool decking.
5. What should I know about chemical roof cleaning?
We can do chemical roof cleaning for most 1 story houses. Some folks aren’t aware that their roof can be cleaned. It can, and the results can be dramatic. It will also make your shingles last longer. Mildew usually shows as a darkening of the shingles and black streaks. If your roof looks a lighter color under the roof vents it is because that’s the color the roof should be. If your roof is regular asphalt shingle, it can be safely cleaned. Pressure is never used on shingles. A chemical cleaning is the safest and most effective way to clean a roof.
6. What should I know about washing wood decks and fencing?
We clean decks and fences in different ways depending on the situation. Raw wood cleans up nice with high pressure, but if the wood is relatively new it may not be the best way. Splintering will get worse every time it is high pressure washed. Painted and stained wood shouldn’t be high pressure washed, unless you plan to repaint soon. A low pressure chemical may be what is needed. We can assess the item with you so you can decide what is best.
7. How often should I pressure wash?
This depends on several things such as the amount of shade you have, how much rainfall we get, the humidity levels and so on. Mostly it is a matter of personal perception. What you consider dirty, mildewed or in need of cleaning someone else may not think so. We personally wash our home at least once a year.
8. Will pressure washing damage my house?
No. When washing houses, or any other surface, only the minimum amount of pressure is used. An experienced tech will have a broad knowledge of the right chemicals and detergents to use in conjunction with pressure washing.
9. Do I need to be home?
No, but any gates to the back yard should be accessible and dogs should be tied or inside the home. Additionally, all windows must be closed.
10. Will the chemicals harm my grass or plants?
No, the solution used for most house washes are very mild.
11. Will pressure washing remove rust stains caused by irrigation?
It will lighten them, but there is a separate process used to remove them. When your goal is to remove rust stains, please let us know first. It takes specific chemicals and there is an additional charge.
12. What is chemical roof cleaning?
Chemical roof cleaning is a very LOW Pressure process that cleans the ugly dark spots of your roof to bring it back to its original color. It will not damage your roof, in fact it will make your roof last longer by killing the mildew that constantly attacks it.
13. Why should I use a professional pressure washing service?
We have much better equipment than a rental machine or a home owner’s machine. We also know how to clean without causing damage to your property, which is the biggest mistake most DIY-ers make. As well, we can do a much faster, neater, and uniform job. The price to rent a machine is about $80 while our minimum charge is only $85.
14. Can you get rid of mildew?
Yes, absolutely.
15. Does your pressure washing technique clean stucco, brick, and coquina?

17. Do you recommend regular maintenance?
